Reaching Out to Help Hearts in Need

Outreach Services
The expertise of UI Heart and Vascular Center benefits hundreds of patients who come to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics each year. But it also reaches beyond Iowa City, bringing expert heart care directly to the patients who receive treatment at outreach clinics in several communities throughout Iowa.

Nearly 20 UI Heart and Vascular Center physicians participate in outreach programs, which provide on-site clinical services to people in the communities of Ames, Burlington, Clinton, Davenport, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fort Dodge, Keokuk, Keosauqua, Mason City, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Sioux City, Spencer, Waterloo and Galesburg, Illinois.

Typically, a physician, nurse and physician assistant team spends one day a week in the clinic, making it more convenient for people to receive specialty care. These outreach services are consistent with University of Iowa's historic commitment to serve the health care needs of all Iowans.
