River Landing -- About Us

UI Health Care, River Landing, will be home to several University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics services when it opens in 2012.

The patient-friendly facility will feature on-site laboratory and pharmacy facilities as well as adjacent parking for easy access to the health care services.

The new facility will create an environment where the newest in diagnostic and treatment technology is anticipated and evidence-based practice is embraced. It will combine quality outcomes with operational excellence, creating an environment that fosters quality patient-centered care.

The new off-site facility will help decompress facilities and parking at the main hospital on Hawkins Drive. Programs and administrative functions will move off campus making room for on-campus growth and facility upgrades.

UI Health Care plans to purchase the 150,000 square-foot facility from the City of Coralville when completed. The new River Landing facility will be located at Ninth Avenue, Coralville near the 242 exit. The design of the building will be extremely flexible, adapting to the needs of the healthcare services as they change and grow.
