Below is from the National Cancer Database (NCDB)—Commission on Cancer, ACoS, Benchmark Reports, v9.0—denoting the percentage, by age, of prostate cancers seen at the UIHC as compared to hospitals in all states.

According to the American Cancer Society 2006 surveillance research, the estimated number of cancer deaths from prostate cancer within the state of Iowa in 2006 is 1,720, and an estimated number of cancer deaths from prostate cancer in the United States is 27,350. Prostate cancer is the third leading cancer related death in the United States in 2006, for men.
The National Cancer Data Base (NCDB), is a nationwide oncology outcomes database for more than 1,400 Commission-approved cancer programs in the United States and Puerto Rico that collects and maintains 75% of all newly diagnosed cases of cancer in the United States. The NCDB contains approximately 20 million records from hospital cancer registries across the United States. These data are used to explore trends in cancer care, create regional and state benchmarks for participating hospitals, and to serve as the basis for quality improvement. (Source: American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer).
UI Hospitals and Clinics demonstrates the wide range of prostate cancer, by stage that it sees annually. You will notice that UI Hospitals and Clinics treats and reports a higher percentage, per stage group, except stage II, but this is less than 10% of prostate cancer than other hospitals from all states.
