Hormone Therapy In Cancer Treatment

Some cancers grow more quickly in response to the production of substances in the body called hormones. In certain types of cancer such as prostate cancer and breast cancer, medications can be given to decrease the body’s production of these hormones, and can slow the growth of cancer in these hormone-sensitive areas.
