Awareness, Prevention, and Early Detection

Most men and women can lower their cancer risk by choosing to live a healthy lifestyle and by working with their doctor so that if they do develop cancer, it is found early.

Cancer prevention: What you need to know

The most common factors that can be attributed to lung cancer include smoking, second hand smoke, radon, and asbestos exposures.

If you are currently a smoker, the best plan is to quit. Quitting is not a simple procedure and requires hard work, dedication, education, and life style changes. The good news is, you are not alone and there is a considerable amount of help and literature on quitting techniques.
