Care and Treatment

The treatment of metastatic cancer depends on the type of cancer and the extent of the spread. If the cancer spread was thought to be limited to a nearby group of lymph nodes, the treatment will be more extensive than if the spread is in several organs far away from the primary site of cancer. When the cancer has spread to several organs it would be considered advanced cancer.
