Testing, Diagnosis and Staging


The symptoms of Myelodysplastic Syndrome will be caused by shortages of one or more type of blood cell.

  • Tiredness, shortness of breath and pale skin can be caused by a shortage of red blood cells
  • Serious infection with high fever can be due to a shortage of white blood cells
  • Easy bruising and bleeding can be caused by a shortage of platelets.
