The American Cancer Society expects 218,890 new cases of prostate cancer in 2007. In 2007, the American Cancer Society forecasts 27,050 men will die. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men. The number of new cases of prostate cancer has been on the rise. This is due primarily to earlier detection by using the Prostatic Specific Antigen blood test.
