Testing, Diagnosis and Staging


Symptoms of soft tissue sarcoma can include:

  • If the sarcoma is on the arm/leg a lump that has grown over week to months. It can be painful, but generally does not cause pain.
  • If the sarcoma is on the abdomen, about one-third cause pain. A blockage or bleeding in the stomach is sometimes seen. Some sarcomas will be felt as a mass in the abdomen.
