Testing, Diagnosis and Staging

Symptoms of non-melanoma skin cancer:
  • A change on the skin–a new growth or a sore that does not heal
  • Smooth, shiny, pale or waxy lump
  • Firm red lump, sometimes might bleed or develop a crust
  • Flat red spot that is rough, dry or scaly.

Changes in the skin are not sure signs of cancer. It is important to see a doctor if any symptom lasts longer than 2 weeks.
