Stomach cancer, also called gastric cancer, is a curable disease when found in the early stages. Unfortunately about 80% of stomach cancer is found in the advanced stages. Most stomach cancers, about 95% arise in the glandular tissue of the stomach. Rarely, cancer will develop in the lymph tissue of the stomach.
