Testicular cancer accounts for about 1 % of all male cancers. About 8250 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer each year. Yet only about 370 die of it annually. This is because it is very sensitive to radiation and chemotherapy. Another name for testicular cancer is germ cell tumor. There are two types of testicular cancer, seminoma and non seminoma. Both are treated with surgery, but any subsequent treatment will be determined by which type it is.
