Smoking Teens: Lung Cancer and Emphysema

Emphysema
The holes in the lung are caused by a disease process called emphysema. Smoking damages the tiny air sacs in the lungs causing them to enlarge, making it difficult to breathe.

Lung Cancer
At least 80 percent of lung cancer occurs in people who smoke.
