For the Outpatient Program most insurance companies pay for
some or all of the program cost. Check with your medical insurance provider to obtain information about your specific coverage for Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation. Our staff and our business office are also available to help you obtain the necessary information.
For the Prevention Program the cost is comparable to that
of many health clubs (about $50 per month). The initial evaluation
costs between $70 and $137, depending on your needs. Additional
ECG-monitored exercise sessions are available at a modest charge. In
some cases insurance covers the cost. Good news for University of
Iowa employees with flexible benefits health spending account: You
may use funds in that account to pay for this program!
