Director of Operational Improvement
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Operational Improvement serves as the primary UI Hospitals and Clinics resource on process improvement methods and training. This individual tracks key performance measures, proactively and on request, plans and coordinates performance improvement activities, and monitors the results of such activities. In addition the Director is responsible for the training of appropriate individuals throughout the institution in performance improvement techniques.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Institutional resource on process improvement methods and training
- Systemically identifies process improvement opportunities
- Leads Lean Sigma activities, including Kaizen events
- Quantifies and reports on value added by process improvement
- Incorporates process improvement and maintenance tolls into new and changed information systems
