Kick-off Blood Drive with UI Football Team

       

The Kick-off Blood Drive with the UI Football Team was held on Monday, June 5th at the UI Hall of Fame Museum. It was a fun and successful day with Coach Ferentz, 16 football players and 6 coaches rolling up their sleeves and donating blood for patients at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In all, 66 donors came to share in the first event of a year long partnership with the DeGowin Blood Center and the UI Football Team. Donors received a "DeGowin Life Saving Team" t-shirt and those donors not part of the football family, had their names entered into a drawing for an autographed football signed by Coach Ferentz and all players in attendance. The raffle entry runs through June 10. The winner's picture will be posted on our webpage. A big thank you to all who came to help and make this first event a success.
