Once again this year the University of Iowa DeGowin Blood Center would like to celebrate summer and more importantly celebrate their donors with a summer T-shirt promotion. During the months of June, July, and August, all who help with a whole blood or automated donation will receive a DeGowin Blood Center Life Saving Team T-shirt.

The DeGowin Blood Center would like to thank their donors and let them know that without them, we would not be able to provide the valuable blood products that give so many patients at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, another chance at life.   Last year, 32,425 blood products were transfused at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.   You, our wonderful donors, helped to make miracles happen with your donations.

To help kick-off our summer t-shirt shirt promotion and support the DeGowin Blood Center in a year long campaign, the UI Football Program, as DeGowin's   Leadership Team for the up coming year, will start with a Kick-off Blood Drive with the UI Football Team on June 5th from 10 am to 3 pm at the UI Hall of Fame Museum. All participants will have their name entered into a raffle to receive a football autographed by Coach Ferentz, plus the players, and other coaches in attendance at the blood drive.

You don't have to be able to run a marathon, ride across Iowa, throw a football, or swim a mile, all you have to do is   roll up your sleeve. How about you save a life this summer. Join DeGowin's Life Saving Team.
