2006 Recognition

On Sunday night, October 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the DeGowin Blood Center honored approximately 250 of their donors with a Donor Recognition Event at the UI Hall of Fame Museum. Musical entertainment was provided by the Friends of Old Time Music, guests were free to tour the Hall of Fame Museum, and a delicious chili supper was catered by John's Grocery.  Donors in attendance who had achieved exceptional donation milestones were honored with a gift, as a thank you for their commitment and dedication as a donor and a friend of the DeGowin Blood Center.

Donors who had donated at least 100 times received an engraved Silver Star Award.

Donor who had donated from 60-99 times received an engraved Silver Star paper weight.

Donors who had donated from 30-59 times received a desk top clock.

The faculty and staff of the DeGowin Blood Center wish to thank all our blood donors for their continued support in providing lifesaving blood products to the patients at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
