A Service to University Employees
The mission of UEHC is to provide surveillance services to University staff to prevent occupational injury and disease through recognition and management of risk.
UEHC serves all UI employees and provides a variety of services based on the employee's workplace tasks and potential exposures. In addition, UEHC offers some limited general preventive health services.
UEHC provides targeted new employee health screenings, audiometry, tuberculosis skin testing, and pulmonary function screenings. Employees with exposures to environmental hazards, infectious agents, and blood-borne pathogens are evaluated and treated. Other services include influenza vaccinations, blood pressure checks, tobacco cessation counseling, and reproductive hazards counseling.
