2009 Courses
HOST SITES WANTED FOR FREE EMS PROVIDER COURSE
CARE (Critical Access Responder Education) Course
The Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of EMS, recently awarded a grant to the EMS Learning Resources Center to develop and teach a CARE (Critical Access Responder Education) course. The grant allows 8 hours of free, formal, continuing education to rural EMS providers in various regions across Iowa.
The EMS Learning Resources Center is seeking sites to host this program. The site must provide a handicapped accessible classroom which accommodates at least 20 participants. In addition, a parking spot adjacent to the site is required to accommodate our Emergency Medicine Mobile Simulation Lab.

As soon as host sites for this 8 hours of EMS continuing education are established, individual courses will be posted on the EMSLRC web site and EMS providers may register.
