Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute
The Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute recognizes that Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) is an evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatment. The mission of the Institute is twofold:
- To ensure that the principles of IPT are taught and practiced in a manner that maximizes adherence to its key elements.
- To facilitate the worldwide dissemination of IPT by supporting high quality training and clinical supervision in IPT and by serving as a resource center for instruction in IPT.
The Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute provides:
- Standards for IPT training courses
- Standards for IPT clinical training
- Standards for IPT supervision
- Educational resources for IPT clinicians, supervisors, and trainers
- IPT training and supervision networks so that certified training courses and supervision in IPT can be identified or arranged
