The UI Maternity Center embraces the concept of family-centered care. For maternity care, this means that fathers and support persons re invited to participate in the child's birth. Siblings are encouraged to visit.

Our nearby Special Care Nurseries house our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery and transitional units for babies as they prepare to go home. Led by University of Iowa Children's Hospital neonatologists and a nursing staff second to none, you can rely on the highest level of care available in this region.
