Visitors

Mother-Baby visiting policies have been designed to promote early attachment between family members and the new baby, while minimizing the baby’s risk of coming in contact with someone who has a contagious illness.

Family, including children who are brothers or sisters of the baby and other children who live in the same household as the new baby, may visit with you from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  If your other child(ren) will be visiting, please fill out the health screening questionnaire available at the desk.

Your older children may visit with you and your baby in the room if:

  1. They do not currently show any signs of a cold or other illness.
  2. They have not recently been exposed to illnesses such as chicken pox, colds, or strep.
  3. Your child’s immunizations are up-to-date.
  4. Your child has not received a vaccination for chicken pox or polio in the past 28 days or Flu Mist in the past 7 days.

If you would like your children to stay overnight with you while you are a patient, a second adult must be present.

If you would like additional assistance in limiting visitors, please inform your nurse.
