Emergency Ground Transportation
|
When helicopter transport is not needed or not feasible because of weather conditions, AirCare provides emergency/critical services using two mobile critical care units based at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. These units are fully equipped ambulances providing the capability for:
- Full trauma and medical resuscitation
- Non-invasive and invasive airway management
- Cardiac monitoring
- Multiple medication administration
- Critical care transport of neonates, critically ill pediatric and adult patients
The AirCare crew staffs the ambulances and responds to your location, providing the same quality critical care that would be delivered if the helicopter had been used.
