All AirCare flight nurses have extensive emergency department and ICU nursing backgrounds. By using standing protocols, they are able to function at a high clinical level to perform endotracheal intubations using RSI, surgical airways and a variety of advanced medical skills inherent to air medical transport. All have required certifications in ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC and many possess additional certifications and hold teaching positions.
