Project Summary: The long-term goal of our research is to reduce the human and financial burden of ATV-related injuries using engineering, educational, and advocacy approaches. Our unique database merges crash data from the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Natural Resources (DNR) with injury data from the State Trauma Registry (STR). This database provides a wealth of information to address important epidemiological questions about ATV crashes and injuries in Iowa.
