Department of Family Medicine Home About Our Residency Programs
|
AlumniThe Department of Family Medicine was established in 1970 with residents entering the Family Medicine Residency Program in 1972. Two hundred fifty-hour physicians completed the Family Medicine, Family Medicine-Psychiatry or Pella Rural Track training programs and reside in 42 states and three foreign countries. Sixty-five percent of our graduates entered private family practice following residency with others selecting (in order of frequency) academic medicine, emergency medicine, medicine administration, research and other activities. Alumni may contact Linda Streb Hoover, Program Coordinator, for the current address of a residency graduate (phone 319/384-7507 or email linda-hoover@uiowa.edu).
