The Department of Family Medicine offers a full-service residency program. The faculty includes not only committed educators, but also seasoned clinicians and successful researchers. The residency program has 35 years of success in training family physicians for Iowa and the nation. We do obstetrics and perform a wide range of procedures. We take care of the elderly, the very young, and everyone in between – in the office and in the hospital. Our research division, with its core of tenured faculty, is advancing the frontiers of our discipline.

But perhaps the most important thing we offer you is something that is harder to put into words than a list of our program's many strengths. It is this: We care about each other as people.
