Go Hawks! I am originally from Iowa City and haven't found an excuse to leave yet! I studied Exercise Science and Spanish as an undergrad at the U of I and finished med school here in 2009. Some of my favorite things to do around town are the Friday Night Concert Series during the summer (Alto Maiz is the best!), slow-pitch softball leagues out in Coralville, the "res", close outlet shopping at Tanger, and plenty of Hawkeye sporting events. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and volunteering in Parkview Church's high school youth ministry. I got married to my wonderful husband, Todd, in December 2008 and we are enjoying our new little puppy, Bailey.

I chose Family Medicine because I love the variety of patients and diagnoses you see every day. My interests include OB, rural medicine, international medicine and public health.
