M3 Preceptorship
115:300 Family Medicine Preceptorship is a required course. After a half-day, on-campus Orientation, students spend 4 weeks on-site, working full-time with a board-certified Iowa family physician who has volunteered to teach. Students rate this course very highly. Complete files with details about each preceptor and site, and evaluations from all students who have rotated there, are on file in the Family Medicine Student Resource Room. Students will select and enroll beginning in the late spring of their M2 year. Students receive in-person, individual assistance from Predoctoral staff in site selection.
