Welcome to Internal Medicine
The Department of Internal Medicine is the oldest and largest clinical department at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Department
faculty in 12 sub-specialty divisions offer full service adult inpatient and ambulatory care
as well as world class translational research programs that bridge basic science and clinical practice. In addition, faculty provide award-winning
teaching at every level within the continuum of medical education, from medical school through residency and fellowship training and in continuing
medical education for physicians in practice.
