Education

Iowa Comprehensive Epilepsy Program (ICEP) physicians and health professionals regularly educate patients, families, and other physicians regarding epilepsy and epilepsy care.

An Epilepsy Teaching Conference aimed toward neurology residents, fellows, and staff is held weekly.

Clinical neurophysiology fellows, neurology and rotating residents, and medical students work regularly with the ICEP physicians in clinic, the EEG and epilepsy monitoring laboratories, and the operating room. ICEP physicians educate their physician peers regionally and nationally and are active members of the American Epilepsy Society.

Rotations for outside residents and medical students are encouraged. Fellowships in EEG and epilepsy are available.
