Research Assistant II Opportunity

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University Iowa is currently accepting applications for a full-time RA II.  

The Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting a Research Assistant II to participate in ongoing clinical trial research, and assist with clinical trial protocols and procedures.  He/she will participate in the development of the research goals and implementation planning; oversee clinical research operations including the recruitment and coordination of procedures and subject participation per protocol requirements; assist physicians in determining eligibility of patients for research protocols; and coordinate multiple projects with various principal investigators simultaneously.

Requirements:

• Academic knowledge of a discipline and the ability to translate, adapt, and apply this knowledge that is associated with a Bachelor's degree in nursing, supplemented by one or more years of progressively responsible experience in the conduct of research or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Current, valid Iowa Registered Nurse license is required.
• Some travel may be required.
