Financial Concerns for Patients

In general, the cost for one or the entire cycle, including medications and monitoring, is in the range of $11,000 to $15,000. However, the cost is dependent upon several factors such as type of procedure and medications used. When comparing costs between centers, be sure to ask if the figure quoted includes the cost of medications.

As part of your preliminary appointment, you will meet with our Financial Counselor who will help you determine the financial costs for your individual situation.

Many insurance companies provide at least partial coverage. However, you are responsible for contacting your insurance carrier to discuss whether in vitro fertilization (IVF) is covered under your contract.

One option for couples to consider is the IowaWarranty Program. This program limits your financial risk, and is based on a "warranty" against not getting pregnant, not a guarantee of pregnancy and delivery. If you are not successful, a significant portion of your money is refunded.
