Diagnosis and Treatment of Infertile Men
The University of Iowa Reproductive Testing Laboratory provides physicians and their patients with male infertility testing, motile sperm isolation for intrauterine insemination or in vitro fertilization, and semen cryopreservation for sperm banking. This full-service facility is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of infertile men using the highest standard of quality of care.
The laboratory actively participates in the American Association of Bioanalysts’ Proficiency Test Program, is accredited by the College of American Pathologists, complies with all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act and Food and Drug Administration’s regulations, and is certified by the Health Care Finance Administration.
Amy Sparks, PhD, laboratory director, is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Laboratory Director. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Society of Andrology.
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Reproductive Testing Laboratory has met the standards for accreditation and is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
