Treatment Options: Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
|
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is a technique that places prepared sperm directly into the uterus. IUI is used to treat a variety of causes of infertility, including:
- Couples with unexplained infertility
- Cervical factor infertility
- Endometriosis-associated infertility
- Male factor infertility (though generally advised against for men with extremely low sperm counts or motility).
Sperm donation can come from a partner or from frozen donor sperm obtained from commercial donor sperm banks. |
