1. Using a Bioartificial Pancreas for the treatment of insulin dependent diabetes mellitus in pregnancy
2. Group B Strep vaccine development
3. Etiology of preeclampsia
4. Tissue engineering and in utero surgical repair of fetal neural tube defects
5. Cytotrophoblast development in simulated microgravity
6. Development of non-dietary therapy for maternal phenylketonuria (PKU)
