Donor Insemination

In couples where the male partner has either no sperm in the ejaculate or extremely low sperm counts consideration can be given to the use of donor sperm. We will also perform donor insemination IUI for single women. We obtain frozen sperm from commercial donor sperm banks. We obtain the sperm from these commercial sites after the couple has chosen the anonymous donor preferred. The sperm is then thawed and inseminations are done in our clinic. Pregnancy rates from donor sperm will vary depending upon other infertility factors that might be present. In general pregnancy rates are somewhere in the order of 10% per cycle. For current cost estimations please contact our financial Counselor at (319)356-3145.
