Clinic Services
When a patient arrives to the clinic for a first visit, a nurse will obtain a health history including information about symptoms and previous treatments. The nurse also discusses our Guidelines for Vulvar Skin Care.

A physician will then examine the patient and obtain samples of vaginal discharge as needed. Recommendations for treatment and management of symptoms are discussed after the exam.

The clinic staff also provides general education and support to help women cope with these very personal health problems. Referrals to other health care providers may be scheduled as needed.

Communicating With Referring Health Care Providers
Following a clinic visit, a letter is promptly sent to your local health care provider. The letter provides the results of your exam and the plan of care.

How to Schedule Appointments
A patient may call clinic scheduling directly or she may choose to be referred by her local health care provider. The patient or health care provider may call 319-356-2294 from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment. Clinic hours are: Tuesday and Wednesday 8 AM to 5 PM.
