AttireThere is no requirement that students at The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine adhere to a strict dress code, but students are expected to dress appropriately and to comport themselves in a manner consistent with the location and nature of their educational activities. A. Clothing Medical students will wear scrubs at all O.R. locations. Check with one of your team members as far as shoewear. On clinic days, you will be expected to dress in appropriate street clothes (i.e. short and tie for men), and to wear your white coat. B. Name badge Medical Stidents are expected to wear the UIHC photo ID badge in the appropriate manner at all times while on clinical duties. It is your responsibility to identify yourself to the patients and clarify your role as a medical student. |
