Glossary


Amplifier

The part inside a hearing aid that increases the sound coming through the microphone.

Analog Hearing Aid

A hearing aid that processes sound with analog circuitry.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs)

Devices people use to help them in various listening environments (i.e., amplified telephones, vibrating alarm clock).

Battery

Provides power to the hearing aid.
