Karlene Fuller, RN, CORLN


Karlene has been a nurse at UIHC since 1981 and has specialized in the care of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery patient population. She enjoys the challenge of the various duties that accompany being an Oto nurse, the specific disease management and the research and improvements in nursing practice for the betterment of the Oto patient.  Karlene graduated from Northwestern College in 1976 with a double major in English and Biology and received her Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) in 1981.  Karlene is a CPR instructor and a member of both the ANA (American Nurses Association) and INA (Iowa Nurses Association).  She is currently president of the Heartland Regional Chapter of SOHN (Society of Otorhinolarygology-Head and Neck Nurses), where she has served as Fundraising chair for nine years. Karlene is also co-chair of the SOHN National Membership committee and is certified in Otorhinolaryngology Nursing (CORLN).
