Helen Stegall, RN, BSN, CORLN


Helen received her BSN degree from the College of Nursing in 1983 and became a staff nurse on the Otolaryngology Inpatient area at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  After working seven years on the inpatient area, became a Nurse Clinician and floated between the Otolaryngology Clinic, Othpthomology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic until 1990.  In 1990, Helen moved to the Otolaryngology Clinic and worked with the Head and Neck Oncology Patient population.  In 2000, she became the Assistant Nurse Manager of the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Clinic and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.  In 2001 Helen became board certified in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.  She is currently a member of SOHN (Society of Otorhinolayngolgoy Head and Neck Nurses), and also a member of Sigma Beta Tau.  In addition to some administrative duties, she participates in Staff Education, Patient Education and continues to work with Head and Neck Oncology patient  population.
