Otolaryngology - Research

Research is a vital component of the clinical mission of the Department of Otolaryngology.  The Department of Otolaryngology contains a number of very talented and creative investigators who have been at the forefront of research in this specialty for many years.  Many of our faculty members are funded with federal monies.  These awards range from career development grants, to RO1s, to a P50 grant that exceeds $2 million per year.  The impact that this funding has upon the development of the discipline and the direct results and benefits to the patient population is profound.
