Gabe dela Garza


After obtaining his undergraduate degree at UT Austin Gabriel then went on to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and graduated in 2008. Having completed an internship at the University of California at San Francisco Gabriel then joined the program at Iowa and is in the research track. He is currently investigating candidate genes implicated in cleft lip and palate in the lab of Rob Cornell, PhD. As an Eagle Scout he enjoys the outdoors and has traveled, hiked, and camped extensively both in the US and internationally. In his free time he enjoys exercising, playing sports, traveling, watching Longhorn football games, and spending time with his wife and young daughter.
