Jonathan Kopelovich

A Florida native, Jonathan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in the Biological Basis of Behavior and subsequently returned to Philadelphia to complete his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College. During this time, he investigated behavioral determinants of pediatric cochlear implant function at CHOP. His interest in cochlear implant research continues as he currently studies the cellular and genetic consequences of intracochlear electrical stimulation.

Jonathan is taking an indefinite haitus from the practice of capoeira to run marathons. He still gets excited about b-boying, freestyling, graffiti and other aspects of hip-hop culture. He and his wife are the proud parents of a baby boy and a motley cast of pets.
