A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS majoring in Chemistry, led Andrew to enter the Medical University of South Carolina. During the course of his medical degree he was involved in several research projects, the most recent of which was immunohistochemical staining identifying salient protein receptors in nasal mucosa.
He is interest in volunteering his time and skills is evidenced by medical mission trips to Ecuador, Honduras, South Africa, and Peru undertaken between 1993 and 2005.
