Beth Macpherson, MA, CCC-A


Beth received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Montana in 1987 and her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of Iowa in 1989. Beth has been working in the Department of Otoloaryngology as a clinical audiologist since 1998. As a clinical audiologist, Beth has provided diagnostic services in our Diagnostic Audiology Clinic and managed, as well as expanded, the University of Iowa Health Care Infant Hearing Screening Program. In February of 2002, Beth joined the Iowa Cochlear Implant Team and has worked as a researcher on the Music Perception Project and most recently joined the Adult Cochlear Implant Team. In addition to collecting data, Beth's responsibilities include cochlear implant evaluations, preparing cochlear implant candidates and their families for the implant procedure, cochlear implant hook-up, follow-up care, and troubleshooting the cochlear implant device.
