UI Pediatrics Is Recognized
For Excellence in Teaching,

More than 200 pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, child psychologists, and doctoral-level scientists make up the faculty of the UI Department of Pediatrics.

The department is recognized nationally for excellence in teaching, clinical service, and research related to childhood diseases. The staff sees 127,000 out-patient visitors each year. 

Our pediatrics faculty members are among the nation's best trained, as reflected in their authorship of major texts in the discipline, election to leadership positions in pediatrics, and receipt of national and international recognition.

Through more than a dozen subspecialties in pediatrics, UI Health Care offers the state's practicing physicians an invaluable referral center and ready collaborators for delivering the highest quality health care at all levels.
