Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, Dialysis and Transplantation

The Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, Dialysis and Transplantation offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of all aspects of renal disorders in infants, children and adolescents. This includes:

  • The provision and follow up of patients requiring acute and/or chronic dialysis (Peritoneal and Hemodialysis as well as Continuous renal replacement therapies)
  • Transplantation services
  • Prenatal consultation
  • Electrolyte/fluid management problems
  • Structural/anatomic abnormalities of the genitourinary system
  • Tubular and genetic disease of the kidneys
  • Hypertension
  • Kidney stones
  • Nephrotic syndrome
  • Glomerulonephritis (kidney inflammation) including lupus
  • Blood and/or protein in the urine

  • Hematuria and proteinuria
  • Hypertension
  • Nephrotic Syndrome
  • Dialysis Services
  • Transplantation
  • Kidney stones
  • Urinary Tract Infections (recurrent) and vesicoureteral reflux
  • Hydronephrosis and antenatal genitourinary abnormalities

Diagnostic Services

  • Renal Biopsy
  • Renal Ultrasonography
  • Urinary testing and analysis
